About a year ago I asked upon this list about a PCNet32 driver for the older Compaq prosignia servers which contain an embedded EISA AMD PCNet32 network card. Somebody on this list had an updated driver and mailed it to me. I'm now trying to upgrade my kernel to 2.4.16 from the 2.4.4 that I'm running now. I was hoping I could just copy over the same pcnet32.o module and it would work. I also tried the pcnet32.o that comes with the 2.4.16 kernel. Neither appear to still work.
