If it is the orginal DL380, it has an "Integrated Array Controller" down. that uses the cpqarray driver. The cpqarray driver does NOT have support for tapes in it. If you have the DL380G2, that has the "SA5i" controller down. That uses the cciss driver. The cciss driver starting with version 2.4.22 HAS support for tapes in it.
