If there is a choice in the BIOS for the OS installed, then make sure you have it set correctly. Here are some suggestions in order of preference, if they don't work, then try other choices available to you: Linux, UnixWare2, ... Unixware7, ... Unix ... NT ... others. As far as I know there's not a line that you can go to in order to change the APIC mode on the workstations. Selecting the correct OS choice should modify APIC for you. Also, make sure you have the latest ROM for your workstation.
