Try to use the e100 from intel, there seems to be problems with eepro100. http://support.intel.com/support/network/adapter/pro100/100linux.htm Sincerely, Richard Black http://www.compaq.com/linux http://www.geocities.com/rlcomp_1999 http://www.cpqlinux.com -----Original Message----- From: Alexander Oleshev [mailto:Alexander.Oleshev@ebs-europe.com] Sent: Friday, January 12, 2001 10:12 AM To: 'compaqandlinux@van-dijk.net' Subject: [compaq-and-linux] ml370 Guys ! That's me again. New problem. As I mentioned before, I installed Linux redhat 6.1 on ml370 succesfully, but I was wrong.. Native network adapter NC 3163 doesn't work properly with EtherExpress 100 native linux driver. At least, it seems like that. Sometimes, when the load on the network card increases - it stops responding temporarily and produces messages like : "eth0: Transmit timed out status XXXXX at command XXXXX" "eth0: Trying to restart the transmitter" Then , in 2-3 minutes it returns to it's normal state. What is a problem? Does anybody experienced it before? Any ideas ? regards, Alexander --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: compaqandlinux-unsubscribe@van-dijk.net For additional commands, e-mail: compaqandlinux-help@van-dijk.net For the archives : http://www.van-dijk.net --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: compaqandlinux-unsubscribe@van-dijk.net For additional commands, e-mail: compaqandlinux-help@van-dijk.net For the archives : http://www.van-dijk.net
