The patched kernel referenced on your site is shown as not available. Do
you know of another source? I searched the site to no avail. Thanks for
the help!

Prosignia VS,
NCR53c710, Original Smart controller.
I have sucessfully accessed devices on
the NCR53c710, the Original Smart
controller, an add in NE2000 card, all
added in memory.
Build the boot disk, put a kernel (with the sim710 driver
built in
statically) on the boot disk, boot, pass the parameters at the boot
prompt
(sim710=addr:0x8000,irq:15). Then you should be able to do a
normal
install. Check my web site under sim710 at
http://www.geocities.com/rlcomp_1999
Sincerely,
Richard

Subject:
[compaqandlinux] Installing on a Prosignia Vs
I am trying to install
Linux on a Prosignia VS with an NCR53c710 chip. I
have downloaded the driver,
but wonder whether anyone has done a similar
install, since I am not sure how
to configure the machine prior to install,
and we have had no luck to date in
getting any version of Linux to recognize
the drives. Thanks in advance for
any insight.
